The fifth China Global Cross-boarder E-commerce Conference will be held Dec 4-5 in Jinhua city, Zhejiang province, said event organizers at a press meeting in Beijing on Thursday.

Yao Guanghai, director of China International Electronic Commerce Center, the main organizer of the event, said that cross-border e-commerce has made global procurement a reality.

“Because consumers need higher quality products when shopping online, both overseas markets and cross-border e-commerce have great potential,” he said.

Yao believes that the meeting will focus on the participation of representatives of macroeconomics, industrial opinions, factory construction and supervision departments, government, institutions and companies.

Jinhua is one of the major cross-border e-commerce cities in Zhejiang Province.

According to data from the Jinhua Municipal Government, in the first seven months of this year, China ’s total cross-border online export sales reached 21.71 billion yuan (US $ 3.08 billion), a year-on-year increase of 35%.
