According to customs data, in the first quarter of this year, China’s foreign trade volume increased by 3.7% year-on-year to 7.01 trillion yuan ($1.04 trillion).

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, during this period, exports increased by 6.7% to 3.77 trillion yuan, while imports increased by 0.3% to 3.24 trillion yuan.

Customs spokesman Li Kuiwen told reporters that the steady growth of trade can be attributed to steady growth of the domestic economy and rising import and export prices.
