Guangzhou – The 125th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the China’s largest trade exhibition, opened on Monday in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province. More than half of the companies participated in import trade fairs from the countries and regions of the Belt and Road.

The biennial spring conference held import exhibitions in the first and third phases, with 650 companies from 38 countries and regions booking 1,000 booths.

Xu Bing, spokesperson for the exhibition, said that it includes 383 companies from 21 countries and regions, including Russia, Poland, the Philippines and Israel.

Large online buyers such as China’s online discount retailer Vip and global retail giants Carrefour and Wal-Mart will participate in the import show.

The show will be held from April 15th to May 5th and is widely regarded as a barometer of China’s foreign trade.
